Launching a new group purchase of electricity

In 2021, we experienced about the power of group purchasing for the first time when dozens of our organizations completed a group purchase of electricity. We learned together, built solidarity, and locked in very low rates for several years.

In 2023, we're building on our success with another group purchase of electric contracts. Any nonprofit that pays an electric bill to FirstEnergy, AEP, or other large utility is eligible.

To join the 2023 group purchase, you must submit bills to our partner, CPA, by April 18th at this link.

Submitting bills is not a commitment to buy; you won't need to make any commitment to purchase with the group until after you see and evaluate pricing. But you must submit bills at the link above by April 18 to see pricing with the group.

There is an info session April 11 at 11 am. You can register at this link.

In 2023, the group purchase for electricity will include organizations affiliated with our partner CPA in DC, Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts. We're building power across state lines, much like we did with our successful gas purchase in 2022. As a result of the gas purchase, 21 Ohio institutions have new gas contracts, and more than 50 orgs in other states do too. We're taking our power national!
